Cindy "Sunshine" Smit- Associate Camp Director |

Cindy Smit (nicknamed “Sunshine”) has been associated with Circle F since 1995 when she enrolled her son and daughter in our camp. They remained campers for many years; her son was a counselor for two years (he is now a Medic in the Navy) and her daughter, now 18, will be a counselor this year.
During this period (14 years) Cindy, who is an RN, has been an integral part of Circle F in one way or another including being Head of the Medical Department. She has her Masters degree and is a Board Certified Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner.
She continue to love Circle F and the Circle F family as, in her words, “I love to see the campers riding those horses, talking, playing and learning about nature and how to grow and communicate”. |

Tia attended summer camp from 1990-1994 and this past spring, her oldest son attended Spring Break Camp. The 5 summers she spent at Circle F helped her appreciate the simple things in life and become a responsible adult. She was glad to see when she picked her son up from camp, that after 16 years, Circle F kept its strong values and positive leadership in today’s fast paced world.
Tia graduated from Polk State College in 2000 with a Degree in Nursing and currently works as an RN in the Emergency Department at Winter Haven Hospital. She held a management position on the pediatric/diabetes unit prior to this. After completing training at the University of Miami, Tia became an advanced stroke life support instructor. In the fall, she will continue working towards her Masters Degree at South University.
For the past 7 years, Tia has been a volunteer for the Polk County School Board. She supports community health education, organizing and participating in local events to increase awareness of the importance of stroke and diabetes prevention / management.
In her free time, Tia enjoys relaxing on the beach, reading, yoga, and most of all spending time with her family. She treasures the memories and life-long friends she made at Circle F and is excited to have the opportunity to return as a camp nurse this summer.

Girl's Head Counselor Tiffany Allen

This will be Tiff's fourth fantastic summer at Circle F and she is really looking forward to making the most of her new position as Head Girls Counselor. For the summers of '07 and '08 she was a counselor for 12 to 16 year olds and worked at our climbing wall and zipline. Summer of '09 she was the Department Head for the climbing wall and was one of the counselors for our oldest girls, the Pioneer 2's. As a pioneer counselor she helped plan and execute the PATH weekend camping retreats.
She is a senior at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. She is finishing up her degree in Sociology with a concentration in social work and child psychology, and also a minor in music. After this summer she will be continuing her education to get a master's in special needs education. For all four years she has worked for the Hollins Outdoors Program (HOP) learning how to and then leading many different types of outdoor excursions, such as canoeing, camping, back packing, spelunking, and rock climbing, as well as instructing others.
